Cult Flashback to appear on mobile devices until the end of summer

In the early 1990s, the French studio Delphine Software released a game called Flashback, which is also known in some regions as Flashback: The zuest for Identity. At the time of its release, the project stood out against the competition, which quickly became very popular all over the world. After almost 30 years, Flashback is due to appear on iOS and Android. And the release of the game on mobile platforms will take place in the summer.

By today’s standards, Flashback is nothing unusual. The game is a classic platformer. At the time of release, however, Flashback had many innovative solutions. For example, the game featured a smooth animation, hand-drawn backgrounds and 3D animated videos. All this will be transferred to the mobile version.

The other day, the author of the original game Paul Kisse announced the return of the iconic platformer. He noted that the creation of the mobile version of Flashback will focus on management. Also in the game will be a redesigned system of saves and improved sound.

It is worth noting that a few years ago Flashback got a full-fledged remake. In 2013, a three-dimensional version of the original platform with improved graphics on Unreal Engine 3 was released. However, the original game, which was released in 1992, should move to mobile devices.

At the moment, the exact release date of the mobile version of Flashback is unknown. However, the developers note that the game will not advertise, and it will be distributed on a paid basis.
