Chinese factory workers wanted to carry iPhone parts through tunnel

The Information has shared information that Apple is constantly strengthening security measures in the factories of Chinese partners. Especially for this purpose, the Coopertinos hire former military scouts who are fluent in Chinese and lead the inspectors. The latter visit Chinese factories with inspections every week.

According to the publication, Apple has been using former scouts for several years. At one point, there were about 30 people on the special team. Recently, however, the Coopertinos have shifted some of their responsibilities to third-party contractors.

In recent years, experts have prevented many attempts to take different components of the iPhone outside factories. Apple quickly realized that workers are ready to go to almost any trick in order to steal even the simplest part. Components were hidden in clothes, underwear, metal shavings, various work items, etc. It was planned to transport individual components of the devices outside the factory.

In the last few years alone, security measures at Apple partner companies’ factories have been noticeably strengthened. Now not only employees are checked, but also garbage bags and containers with details. At the same time, many parts have their own unique identification numbers, which allow you to trace the part to a specific assembly line.

In addition, Apple began to punish partners for large leaks with significant monetary penalties. According to sources, they can reach several million dollars. However, Foxconn does not apply such rules.
