Apple may try to attract users by lowering iPhone prices

Experts of the analytical company Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) note that at the moment users are still quite willing to buy an iPhone. This year, however, the growth rate of the user base has slowed down somewhat.

As of the end of the first quarter of this year, about 193 million Apple smartphones are operating in the United States. A year earlier, that figure was 173 million. Thus, for the year Apple managed to increase the user base by 12%.

Analysts note that the indicator itself is quite good. It shows that the iPhone still remains attractive in the eyes of consumers. However, compared to previous years, the growth rate of the user base has decreased slightly. In the past, it grew by 20% or more.

According to experts, in the near future the Coopertinos will try to return to the previous indicators. To do this, the company can either reduce the prices of individual iPhone models, or launch special preferential programs, or release an inexpensive device aimed at the widest possible audience.
