MacOS 10.15 Catalina: no iTunes and with iPad as an extra screen

As part of WWDC 2019, Apple officially unveiled a new desktop operating system called macOS 10.15 Catalina. In the update, the Coopertinos have added some new interesting features, an alternative to iTunes and many other innovations.

In macOS 10.15, Apple decided to abandon the already outdated iTunes app. The Cupertins have replaced it with three new utilities that should make it easier to access music, movies and movies. In terms of synchronization with mobile devices, macOS 10.15 has been moved to Finder.

Another interesting feature of the new Apple desktop operating system was a feature called Sidecar. It allows Mac and iPad owners to use these devices at the same time. Simply put, the Coopertinos have created a mechanism that will allow the use of the iPad as an additional display or a graphics tablet. It is worth noting that something similar has long been implemented by third-party developers, but now such an option will be in the default system.

One of the most interesting features of macOS 10.15 Catalina is a new tool for developers called Catalyst. With it, the latter will be able to transfer iPad apps to macOS in just a few clicks. During the presentation, Apple spoke about only three similar programs – Jira Cloud, Twitter and Asphalt 9. However, we can assume that this fall the Mac App Store will be replenished with hundreds of new applications.

In addition, the Coopertinos have refined many standard applications, paid attention to security, added to the system utility Find My to search for stolen Macs and introduced a number of technologies in macOS for people with disabilities.
