Apple remains the largest supplier of wearable devices, but competitors are getting closer

According to employees of the analytical company IDC, in the first quarter of this year Apple was able to retain the title of the leader of the wearable electronics market. However, experts note that the growth rate of the share of apple products is gradually decreasing and in the future Coopertinoov under the pressure of strong competitors may fall to the second position.

IDC analysts note that in the first quarter of this year Apple occupies 25.8% of the global market for wearable devices. At the same time, the volume of deliveries of branded gadgets in comparison with the same period last year increased by 49.5%. However, many Chinese companies are showing higher growth.

For example, the second Xiaomi was able to increase the supply of wearable devices by 68.2%, and Huawei – by 282.2%. Thanks to such high rates, Huawei was even able to oust Samsung from the top three. According to IDC, the Korean giant is now only the fourth largest player in the wearables market.

Recall that IDC experts refer to wearable devices not only smartwatches and fire bracelets, but also wireless headphones. According to analysts, it was the high sales of AirPods that allowed Apple to retain the title of leader. As for the Apple Watch, recently the demand for them has decreased slightly.
