At the moment, many experts agree that the demand for apple smartphones has decreased slightly. This is confirmed by Apple itself. At the same time, the iPhone remains the most popular device on the market. Counterpoint Research analysts came to this conclusion.
According to experts, at the end of last year apple smartphones are one of the most popular devices on the market. Six iPhone models are in the top ten. The first place is occupied by the iPhone X, the second – iPhone 8, and closes the top three iPhone 8 Plus.
It is noteworthy that the iPhone Xs did not make it into the top ten most popular smartphones. At the same time, the iPhone Xs Max ranks seventh, and the iPhone XR, which many called a failure, is the eighth position of the rating. Counterpoint Research experts also note that Xiaomi Redmi 5A, Samsung Galaxy S9, Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and Galaxy J6 were very popular last year.
Interestingly, according to Counterpoint Research, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR sales in 2018 amounted to more than 16 million devices for each model, and sales of other Apple smartphones reached the mark of 100 million devices.
