Despite the fact that Apple has introduced the MacBook with Touch Bar for quite a long time, Windows 10 has not yet received full support for the touchpad. Now it just displays functional keys, without which it will not be possible to fully interact with the system. However, thanks to the efforts of a third-party developer named Imbushuo, the capabilities of Touch Bar on Windows 10 should increase.
The developer has created a small driver that allows you to expand the capabilities of the touchpad. Once the relevant entry is made to the Windows registry, users can place a taskbar with the Start button on Touch Bar.
According to the developer, he tested his creation only on the MacBook Pro 2018 and 2019 with the T2 chip, and there it works without problems. Older Apple laptops with a T1 chip were not tested. However, there is a chance that Touch Bar will work on them as well.
Anyone wanting to try out the new Touch Bar features on Windows 10 can read the instructions on GitHub. To install an additional driver will need Visual Studio 2019 and minimal programming knowledge.
