British organization claims that Apple overstates iPhone battery life

Members of a British consumer advocacy group called Which? Apple has announced that Apple is overstating the battery life of its devices. The members of the organization came to this conclusion after conducting a number of studies.

According to the group Which?, they tested nine different iPhone models. During the testing process, it turned out that the autonomy data that Apple indicates is not true. All test devices worked noticeably less than the stated values. In some cases, the difference was 50%. For example, Phone XR lasted 16 hours and 32 minutes in conversation mode, although Apple claims that the device should run up to 25 hours.

The Coopertins have already responded to Which?’s message, noting that they are carefully testing all their devices and guaranteeing the stated battery life. In addition, representatives of the Apple Company noted that members of the consumer protection group did not share their testing methodology.

Along with Apple devices employees Which? also tested the autonomy of other popular mobile devices. As a result, they found out that Samsung, Sony and Nokia slightly under-operate, while HTC and Apple – on the contrary overstated.
