Sony unveils rival AirPods with active noise cancellation technology

Sony is able to produce good headphones with active noise-cancelling systems. In most cases, however, these models are not compact. But now the situation has changed. Today, Sony released the WF-1000XM3, a compact noise-cancelling headphones that you can always carry around.

In addition to its compact size, the WF-1000XM3 is also well-autonomous. According to the manufacturer, the headphones can work for about six hours when using a noise-cancelling system. The branded case will allow to additionally charge the headphones three times, that is, the total autonomy reaches the day. In addition, there is a technology of fast charging, so only 10 minutes in the case will be enough to make the headphones work for an hour and a half.

However, there are downsides. In particular, sony’s new headphones lose the same AirPods in size. The novelty is slightly bigger and heavier. This feature can prevent the use of headphones during training.

As for the price, the shelves of WF-1000XM3 stores can be found for $230. Sales of headphones are due to start in July. Two models will be available to choose from – in black and platinum-silver.
