Apple is interested in podcasts

Bloomberg, citing knowledgeable sources, reports that Apple is interested in podcasts. In particular, the management of the apple company plans to develop the direction of the pods. The exact strategy has not yet been worked out. However, there is a possibility that Apple will buy exclusive rights to the original podcasts.

At the moment Apple is one of the biggest players in the podcast market. According to experts, thanks to their Podcasts application, Coopertinoovs occupy about 50-70% of the market. Recently, however, there has been a growing interest in conversational shows and content creators are increasingly moving to other platforms with exclusive access. Apparently, Apple does not like this situation at all. That’s why different strategies are being worked out in Cupertino.

It is worth noting that Apple launched the Podcasts app 14 years ago – in 2005. At the same time for a long time Coopertinoov did not make any efforts to monetize this service. Some believe that this was due to the fact that after the initial surge, user interest in podcasts decreased over several years. Now the demand for talk shows is growing again.
