In the past, analysts and network sources have reported Apple’s desire to release a radically revamped MacBook Pro with a 16-inch screen and thin frames around the display. This allows the computer to be preserved. According to the latest forecasts, the announcement of the new product is planned for 2020 or 2021. However, the company has started pre-preparation now.
According to the Korean edition of The Elec, the Coopertinos are now in talks with Samsung Display to understand whether the display division of the Korean giant can start production of OLED displays for the next generation of MacBook Pro.
Experts note that Samsung could potentially allow the Cupertins not only to create laptops with a larger diagonal while maintaining dimensions, but also to help reduce the weight of the display unit.
It is noteworthy that the initially well-known analyst Ming Chi-Kuo predicted that the Coopertinos could release a 16-inch MacBook Pro as early as this year. However, he later adjusted the date of the announcement, moving it to 2020 or even 2021.
