Officially, Apple does not confirm or deny its desire to create a flexible smartphone. However, numerous patents hint at this. And the Coopertinos continue to replenish their patent portfolio with documents that describe different options for flexible mobile devices. Information about one of these patents appeared on the network just the other day.
Judging by the available information, the Coopertinos assume the use of a flexible mobile device as a smartphone (folded) and as a tablet computer – for this gadget will need to be “deployed.”
It is noteworthy that one of the authors of the new Apple patent is engineer Christopher Jones. He had a hand in almost all apple products, which later appeared on the shelves of stores. Many see this as a kind of hint that the Coopertinos are very interested in the idea of a flexible mobile device.
However, it is better not to count on the quick announcement of such a gadget. According to Daniel Ives, an analyst at Wedbush Securities, Apple has been working on various flexible mobile options for several years. However, on the shelves of stores the novelty is unlikely to appear before the end of 2020 or even 2021.
