Apple decides to abandon Dashboard in macOS Catalina

In the new desktop operating system, Apple will abandon Dashboard. This was announced in his microblog by the well-known developer Steve Troughton-Smith. For what reason the Coopertinos decided to take such a step is unknown. However, we can assume that Dashboard simply stopped fitting into the overall concept of macOS.

In recent years, Dashboard is not very popular with apple computer owners. Many note that they used this feature a few years ago and have never run it since then.

The Coopertinos themselves also made a certain “contribution” to the drop in interest in Dashboard. Over the past few years, Apple has integrated different widgets into the macOS Notification Center. So it’s no surprise that users have stopped paying attention to Dashboard.

Recall that Dashboard was first introduced back in 2005. In 2011, the Coopertinos updated the additional screen with widgets. However, this option was later forgotten and “stuck in the past.”
