Angela Arends joins Airbnb board

Today it became known that Angela Arends, who in April resigned as vice president of retail at Apple, joined the board of the rental service Airbnb. Arends became the third independent board member in the company.

Recall that Apple decided to refuse the services of Angela Arends in February this year. The exact cause is still unknown. However, experts believe that the resignation is primarily due to low sales of the latest apple smartphones. Deirdre O’Brien, who previously led recruitment and training at Apple, is currently Vice President of Retail at Apple.

As for The current place of work, Arends, at the moment it is not known exactly what she will do in Airbnb. It is possible that the management of the service hopes that the new board member will help in promoting and popularizing the product in new regions.

As mentioned above, Arends became the third independent member of Airbnb’s board of directors. The other two are former American Express cashless payment ceo Ken Chenalt and former Pixar chief financial officer Ann Mater.
