According to rumors, in the future Apple may release a 16-inch MacBook Pro. But it won’t happen until next year. At least, many analysts make such forecasts. So far, Apple is only going to create such a device Huawei has already prepared a 16-inch competitor MacBook Pro. The Honor MagicBook Pro will be announced today as part of a special event.
Despite the rather large display, the novelty is compact and low in weight. Thus, the size of Honor MagicBook Pro is roughly comparable to the 15-inch “pro” Apple, and the weight is even lighter than the last 130 grams.
The compact size of the laptop was retained thanks to the thin frames around the screen. They are only 4.9 mm thick and the display covers 90% of the front panel. As for the characteristics of the screen, its diagonal is 16.1 inches, and the resolution is 1920×1080 points. In addition, the manufacturer declares 100% coverage of the color space sRGB.
At the moment, two versions of Honor MagicBook Pro are available for order. Both are equipped with 8GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD and a Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics. The processors are different. The basic version of Honor MagicBook Pro is powered by the Core i5 processor, while the more advanced Core i7-8565U is powered. Another version of the MagicBook Pro with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB drive is due to be available for order in the next few weeks.
Other features of the novelty include a retractable front camera, which is hidden in the top row of keys, the presence of five different ports (one USB-C, three USB 3.0 Type-A and one HDMI) and a battery for 56 Wh, declared autonomy of about 14 hours.
Honor MagicBook Pro is due for sale on July 29. The Core i5 version will be available for about $800, the Core i7 chip model will cost $900, and the price of the top-end Version with SSD at 1TB will be around $1,160.
