EBay sells original iPod for $19,995

Some time ago, a sealed first-generation iPod, released 18 years ago, appeared at the popular eBay online auction. The seller wants to get $19,995 for this lot.

It is difficult to say whether there is someone who decides to buy the device for such money. However, there is a chance of this. Back in 2014, a similar sealed first-generation iPod was sold on eBay for $20,000. It can be assumed that over the past years the cost of such lots should have increased, as devices in this state remains less and less.

Recall that Apple introduced its first iPod back in 2001. The player was equipped with a 5GB hard drive, a two-inch display and a unique navigation wheel that allowed you to navigate the menu and control music playback. The player’s full battery life was enough for 10 hours of operation.

At the time of the launch, the original iPod was worth $399.
