Apple will get rid of 3D Touch in all iPhone 2019

Last year, Apple removed 3D Touch support from the iPhone XR. Recall that for the first time such a feature became available in the iPhone 6s. However, already this year, the Coopertinos plan to abandon 3D Touch altogether. According to sources, none of the iPhone 2019 model year will support this technology.

This week, several sources, including analysts at Barclays, announced Apple’s plans to abandon 3D Touch. At the same time, experts note that the Coopertinos will not completely remove the popular function. They’ll just replace it with Haptic Touch, the software equivalent of 3D Touch. Thus, most of the usual gestures will remain.

It is worth noting that for the first time the software analogue 3D Touch appeared in last year’s iPhone XR. According to reviews Haptic Touch copes well with its responsibilities. However, this system has a number of drawbacks. For example, Haptic Touch does not support long-term clicks in the Control Center.

However, there is an assumption that this year the Coopertinos will refine the software analogue 3D Touch, increasing the number of supported gestures.
