Steve Jobs believed that in advertising humor distracts users from Apple products

I’m a Mac/I’m a PC series of commercials is considered one of Apple’s most successful commercials. Despite the apparent simplicity, the videos were not easily filmed. This was recently told by Justin Long, who starred as a Mac computer.

According to Long, a total of about 300 “episodes” were filmed. However, only 66 were on the air. More than 200 videos were culled by Steve Jobs. The co-founder of the apple company feared that excessively playful form or too funny jokes would distract the attention of potential buyers from Apple products.

Long also noted that one of the commercials was to be filmed by comedian zak Galifianakis. He is now known for his roles in The Hangover, The Bachelor 2: From Vegas to Bangkok, The Bachelorette: Part III, and The Bachelorette. Galifianakis got the role of a drunken Santa Claus. However, the video did not hit the air.

As mentioned above, I’m a Mac/I’m a PC series is considered one of Apple’s most successful commercials. It has won numerous awards and aired on TV between 2006 and 2009.
