A few months ago, users from New York and Australia were the first to get acquainted with a new mobile game in the Harry Potter universe – Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. And today it became known that on June 21 there will be a global release. The exact release time in different regions has not yet been announced by the developers. Instead, they shared another trailer.
Recall that the development of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite started more than a year ago. Initially, there was not much data about Niantic’s new project. However, over the past six months, the network has appeared quite a detail.
According to the story in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite users will take part in the closure of dangerous portals through which magical creatures, things and artifacts enter the world of ordinary people. Specifically to combat this “disaster” the Ministry of Magic, together with the International Confederation of Wizards, is creating The Privacy Groups. A member of one of these groups and will become a player.
The basic mechanics will be something similar to The Pok’mon Go. Users will have to walk around the city and its surroundings to close portals and interact with different objects. However, in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite players will be waiting for other activities: magic crafts, the study of spells, etc.
At this stage, representatives of Niantic say that on Friday the project will be available in the U. S. and The United Kingdom. However, many believe that the release will take place in other regions.
