Google has revealed its new augmented reality glasses, Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2. Compared to the first generation, the updated glasses are equipped with a more powerful processor, a better camera and a larger battery. At the same time, Google Glass 2 costs 30% less than its predecessor – 999 dollars.
In fact, Google did not make any drastic changes in the design of the glasses: the layout and layout of the modules remained about the same as in the original glasses. In fact, the main external change was the new frame, which Google created in conjunction with Smith Optics. The frame looks larger. Apparently, when it was created, reliability and usability were at the forefront.
As for the filling, Google Glass 2 is based on the processor snapdragon XR1, which was designed specifically for wearable devices with augmented reality support. In addition, the glasses are equipped with 3GB of RAM, a 32GB drive, and Android 9 Oreo is used as an operating system. Google Glass 2 is responsible for the 820 mAh battery. According to the manufacturer, the full charge will be enough for about eight hours of operation of the device.
The company has already started accepting pre-orders of Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2. As mentioned above, the cost of augmented reality glasses from Google has decreased and now stands at $999.
