Apple opens a special store in a renovated library

Apple is due to open its new brand store later this week. On the one hand, there is nothing unusual about this event. In recent years, the Coopertinos have been actively expanding their retail network. But on the other hand, the new Apple Store claims to be one of the company’s most unusual stores. And for several reasons.

First, the new Apple Store is located in the building of one of the Carnegie Libraries. These are buildings that were built on donations from Scottish-American entrepreneur and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie between 1883 and 1929. The building for the new Apple Store was built more than 116 years ago.

Secondly, the Coopertinos not only occupied the library building, but also completely restored it. The restoration process took a long time and cost the company $30 million.

And third, the new Apple Store should be different from most Apple retail stores with its content. In particular, the company plans not so much to sell through it its goods, as to turn the store in the Carnegie Library into a kind of center, where people will be able to learn something new and develop. Specifically for this purpose, the Apple Store provides classrooms for learning and creative spaces.

As mentioned above, the opening of a new apple retail store in Washington state is scheduled for this week, or rather on May 11.
